Abstract

|
Aneurysms are found less commonly in the upper extremity than in the lower. The majority of cases occure due to arterial trauma and less frequently to arteriosclerosis or idiopathic. Aneurysms in the forearm arteries are less common than those in
the
subclavian, axillary and brachial arteries. Fewer than 100 cases of distal ulnar artery aneurysm in the hand have been reported to date. But there have been no similar report of aneurysm of proximal ulnar artery, the principal means of
vascularization
of the hand. We report a case of atherosclerotic aneurysm of the proximal ulnar artery in patient of 53 years old female.
